Ingredients:

  • 500 Gr tomatillos, husks removed and rinsed

  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and chopped (depending on how spicy you like it)

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C. Place the tomatillos and jalapeño peppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. Roast the tomatillos and jalapeño peppers in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are soft and slightly browned.


  3. In a blender or food processor, combine the roasted tomatillos, jalapeño peppers, onion, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth.


  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve the Spicy Salsa Verde immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
