1 cup of beef broth
1/2 cup of dry white wine
2 bay leaves

1 teaspoon of dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C)
Season the veal shanks with salt and pepper, then coat them in flour.
In a large Dutch oven or oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the veal shanks to the pot and brown them on all sides, for about 6-8 minutes.
Remove the veal shanks from the pot and set them aside.
Add the chopped onion, carrots, celery, and garlic to the pot and cook until they are softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the can of crushed tomatoes, beef broth, dry white wine, bay leaves, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and red pepper flakes to the pot.
Bring the mixture to a simmer, then return the veal shanks to the pot.
Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the preheated oven.
Cook the Osso Buco for 2 hours, or until the veal is tender and falls off the bone.
Remove the pot from the oven and discard the bay leaves.
Garnish the Osso Buco with chopped fresh parsley and lemon zest.
Serve the Osso Buco with crusty bread, pasta, or risotto.
