Ingredients:
8 British-style sausages
4 large potatoes
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef or chicken broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C.
Place the sausages on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
Meanwhile, peel the potatoes and cut them into small chunks. Place them in a pot of salted water and bring them to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
Drain the potatoes and add the milk and butter. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and cook for 5-7 minutes or until they are caramelized.
Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir to combine. Slowly pour in the broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the gravy has thickened.
Serve the sausages and mashed potatoes on a plate and top with the onion gravy. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
