  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp. instant yeast

  • 1 tbsp. sugar

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/2 cup za'atar or cheese (optional toppings)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

  2. Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix well.

  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes soft and elastic.

  4. Cover the dough with a damp towel and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour.

  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  6. Divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball) and roll each one out into a thin circle.

  7. Place the dough circles onto a baking sheet and top them with za'atar, cheese, or any other toppings you like.

  8. Bake the manakish for 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.

  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
