2 cups dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
2 onions, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
2-3 green chilies, slit
2 teaspoons cumin seeds
2 teaspoons coriander seeds
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
2 teaspoons red chili powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoons garam masala
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons oil

Instructions:
Drain the soaked chickpeas and rinse them with fresh water. In a pressure cooker, add the chickpeas and 4 cups of water. Pressure cook the chickpeas until they are soft and tender.
In a separate pan, heat the oil and add the cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds. Let them splutter for a few seconds.
Add the finely chopped onions and green chilies, and sauté until the onions are golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
Add the chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Add the cooked chickpeas to the tomato mixture and mix well.
Add 1-2 cups of water depending on the desired consistency of the curry.
Add the garam masala and mix well. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Serve hot with rice, naan bread, or chapati.
